At Nichols & Wallsmith, we routinely represent individuals charged with drunk driving. Our law firm has been in existence for more than 120 years and our current attorneys have a combined 75 years of experience. Attorney Todd Wallsmith is a former deputy prosecutor and has extensive experience with the special issues that come up in drunk driving cases. He was one of only three prosecutors in Indiana to testify before the Governors’ Task Force on dangerous and impaired driving. In addition to being recognized by the Governors’ Task Force, Mr. Wallsmith has attended classes put on by the Indiana State Police on the operation of the Datamaster (Breathalyzer) and has taught classes on OVWI/OWI/DUI procedure to law enforcement officers.
We have handled thousands of OVWI/OWI/DUI cases from the misdemeanor level to serious felony drunk driving charges. We help our clients understand the charges that they are facing and will discuss with you what options are available in your situation. We assist clients with driver’s license suspension issues, negotiating with the prosecutor, and when necessary, representing our clients in jury trials. We are open to working out payments plans for criminal defense cases because we know how important it is for individuals charged with a crime to have experienced representation.
